Tyler English

Tyler English (he/him) is a third-year student in the College of Arts & Sciences. Tyler is a University Achievement Award Recipient, majoring in Global Public Health and Chemistry on the pre-medical track. He is involved in various CIOs on Grounds, including serving as the Vice President of a newly established FGLI CIO, First of the Family. Additionally, Tyler holds positions as the Office of African American Affairs Peer Advisor, Hoos First Advisory Board Representative, Social Chair for the Society of Caribbean Awareness, Resident Advisor, and Intern in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Tyler has experience working with Dean Kelsie Kelly Smith on R3 Research, specifically Resident for Respectful Research. The focus of this research is on collaborating with the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority in Westhaven, Charlottesville, a predominantly Black neighborhood. The project aims to protect the safety and welfare of low-wealth housing residents in the region.
