CONGRATULATIONS on your acceptance to the University of Virginia! We in the Office of Admission invite you to join us for Days on the Lawn, our special open house for admitted students. During Days on the Lawn you'll have a chance to experience the University's remarkable variety of programs and people. At every step you'll meet students and faculty eager to help you discover the many facets of U.Va.

REGISTER

We are so glad you want to visit UVa! Due to space limitations at some of our venues, we have to close registration for Days on the Lawn at a certain number of visitors. Although registration is closed, you are more than welcome to visit any day not designated as Days on the Lawn.

While you can visit Days on the Lawn as a non-registered guest, our registration lists are very full and as our attendance numbers inflate it is impossible to offer our guests the personalized attention we would like to give them. The Admission Office sponsors Grounds tours every day (at 11am and 2pm) and you are able to sit in on a class on a non-Days day (http://www.virginia.edu/undergradadmission/classes.html). Please come to the Admission Office in Peabody Hall where you will be able to talk with our counselors. You can also set up meetings with the deans in your specific school to discuss classes and curriculum. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and we would very much like for you to come visit U.Va.

WHAT TO EXPECT

These are days celebrating you and your accomplishments, and you can make your day exactly what you want it to be. The flexible schedule allows you to plan your own activities for the day and enjoy what the University has to offer.

Each Day will begin with a Welcome Address at the University's historic Rotunda. There you can enjoy refreshments, speak with University students, faculty, and admission deans, and register to visit classes throughout the day. After the Welcome Address you'll be free to spend the morning visiting classes, to attend an information session for your chosen undergraduate school, and meet with University representatives at the Resource Fair. The afternoons are catered to your particular interests: you can take a walking tour of Grounds or of the residence halls; attend panels on student life run by University students; stroll the Grounds, grab a bite to eat with students, and check out impromptu student performances.
