The Inter-Sorority Council's mission is to support and promote the well-being of the 15 chapters of the ISC and their members in their interactions with each other, as well as the fraternity/sorority, UVA, and local community.

Message from the President

Welcome to the Inter-Sorority Council (ISC). We are currently the largest group of women on Grounds with over 1800 members in 15 sororities. The ISC at the University of Virginia strives to uphold the values of integrity, loyalty, compassion, and humility, upon which the organizations were founded. Sorority involvement enhances the experience of all current and future sorority women by providing resources and opportunities for scholarship, leadership, service, and social development in an atmosphere conducive to friendship and sisterhood.

ISC Statement on Nu Omega Iota

There currently exists a group of students that claim to be an "independent sorority". This group, Nu Omega Iota is not affiliated with the ISC and is not a legitimate option for gaining membership into the fraternity/sorority community at the University of Virginia. To File A Judicial Complaint

To File a Judicial Complaint please fill out Judicial Complaint Form and return the completed form to the ISC office in Newcomb Hallor email it to Brie Nelson.

Registration Form for First Year Women Contacts

To register a first year woman for the fall semester please fill out the Registration Form and submit it to Brie Nelson. Any questions regarding contact policy can be answered by your ISC Represenative.

Register for Formal Recruitment

First-year, upperclass, and transfer students have an opportunity to join a sorority this spring during Formal Recruitment. Formal Recruitment will take place from Saturday, January 23, until Monday, February 1. Registration will open October 12, 2009.

To request a donation from the ISC, download the Donation Request Form (.doc) and return the completed form to the ISC office in Newcomb Hall.
