Lax On The Lawn: April 5th & 6th

Not only does the team focus on team building and community involvement, but it also performs very well against other teams around the country. In the fall semester the team traveled to Towson University and won the entire tournament that was held. In the present spring semester the team has played many games and tournaments with great success. The team traveled to New Orleans in February to play in the Tulane University tournament and played Wisconsin, Florida State and Tulane. Out of 12 teams participating, UVA ended up 4th. The team also traveled to Clemson University and beat the home team. Another tournament played was at Randolph Macon. The team played 2 Division III varsity teams, Randolph Macon and Lynchburg, and beat both by more than 5 goals each. Most of the teams that are played are supplied with a coach and even with that advantage, Virginia's club team still outperforms them. Other teams played in the semester were Virginia Tech and William & Mary at a recent home event.

The team's future competitions involve a tournament at Duke University, a tournament at JMU and a large home tournament on April 5th and 6th called "Lax on the Lawn". More than 6 teams are signed up to come to the home event, at which the team is supplying vendors and many University of Virginia fans.
