To live on the Range, you must be a full-time, degree-seeking graduate student at the University of Virginia.
To apply, please complete our application through Housing and Residence Life's online portal and then submit a resume (PDF preferred) to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can read a copy of our application here (PDF). Applications for the 2016-2017 school year will go live on April 1st and will close on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:59PM. Individuals who apply after the deadline has passed will only be considered after all on-time applications have been reviewed.
All applications are reviewed by the Range Selection Committee during the spring semester, and decisions are sent out in late-April. While you must already be accepted to U.Va. as a graduate student for the Fall 2016 semester to accept a spot on the Range, you are encouraged to apply even if you have not yet heard back from your prospective school.
We like to meet potential applicants face-to-face and get to know them, so that we can base our decisions on more than just what's on paper. We also think it's a good idea for applicants to have a chance to look around the Range and get to know some of the current residents. We therefore strongly urge prospective applicants to attend one of our open-house events during the spring semester. If you are unable to attend one of our open houses, please inform the Range Executive Committee.
