Recent News - 3/13

On March 5th, Sudan’s president, President Omar al-Bashir, was indicted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes. Later that same day, as a retailiation to the indictment, 13 aid organziations (10 internation, 3 local)  including Doctors without Borders who STAND has donated to in the past, were kicked out of Darfur by Bashir because he saw them at “spies” and “thieves”. This leaves the IDPs in Darfur with only half of the aid they had received before, and the UN unable to make up for the loss.  In the past two days, three aid workers were kidnapped, but have been released as of just hours ago. New Web Address

Due to recent StudCo changes, our new website will be STANDatUVA.org instead of uvastand.org. Just a minor change but it keeps us from being in violation.
