.:NEWS:.
The chapter is excited that so far the fall 2009 events have been a great success! Skee-Week 2009, "Breaking the Bubble" really opened up great topics of discussion about the world around us. Furthermore, the first series of "Girl Talk", forums designed specifically for African American women to discuss issues pertaining to them, was a great success and we are looking forward to future discussions.

The chapter is also currently planning our 2nd annual Mr. Pink and Green Competition and are looking for interested male contestants. So please contact a member of the organization if you would like to be the next Mr. Pink and Green!

Furthermore, the website is also under construction so look forward to even more updates and additions to the website in the near future!
.:PRESIDENT'S WELCOME:.

Dear Sorors and friends of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, Theta Kappa Chapter,

Thank you for visiting the Theta Kappa Chapter website! We hope to have created a beautiful environment to display the works and efforts of the chapter.

Since 1974, the thoroughly kaptivating ladies of this chapter have brought the ideals and programs of Alpha Kappa Alpha to the University of Virginia. As more than just pretty girls in 20 pearls, the six current members govern the chapter with poise and grace. I am honored to be the president of Theta Kappa and have the opportunity to actively serve our illustrious organization. AKA is in our hearts to stay.

Sincerely,

Amber Young
