Welcome to the Sigma Chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority's website! The sisters of alpha Kappa Delta Phi Sorority strive to promote sisterhood, leadership, scholarship, and Breast Cancer awareness here at the University of Virginia. We were founded at the University of California, Berkeley in 1990 and have now grown to become the nation's largest and fastest growing Asian-American interest sorority. Featuring: Hong-Geok Maerkle
This year, Ms. Hong-Geok Maerkle, an Asian-American lady who is a Foreign Service Officer and Ambassador to China at the US Department of State, will be the guest speaker for the event. She will share her experience of how she got to where she is today and her thoughts about leadership, scholarship, and the life journey as an Asian-American woman.
