Greetings,
Scholarship, fellowship, good character, and uplift of humanity: these principles have
established the foundation of the 399th house of the most preeminent fraternity - Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to tour the 399th House of Alpha, one of which
that upholds the ideals of manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind.
On December 4, 1906, seven visionary men established the first ever brotherhood focused towards
African-American college men at Cornell University. Since 1974, the Iota Beta Chapter has furthered this focus
at the University of Virginia and the surrounding Charlottesville community.
The 2011 calendar year provides the Iota Beta Chapter a period of rejuvenation
to help us serve mankind to our utmost ability, and we guarantee a level of efficiency and prominence that will remain second to none.
We encourage you to explore our website and learn more about Alpha Phi Alpha and the Iota Beta chapter on Grounds.
Please feel free to contact us at iotabeta@virginia.edu with any questions, comments, or concerns
you may have. We thank you for your time and the pleasure once again.
