American Atheists Convention

A group of five of us (Jenn, Steve, Katrina, Tyrus, and Joe) attended the annual American Atheists convention in Philadelphia from March 25-27, 2005. Joe took a number of (unfortunately kinda blurry) pictures there on his cameraphone, which are posted here:

The conference took place at the fancy Hyatt hotel in downtown Philadelphia:

We were right on the river, with a view of the historic section of town...

The conference itself consisted of a series of interesting speakers, talking about everything from anthropological explanations of religion to humorous examples of religious paraphenelia:

Much to our amusement, the convention attracted a small group of evangelical Christian protesters:
