Meetings
Meetings usually involve discussion topics and/or student presentations on a social, scientific, or philosophical issue of interest to the freethinking community. Check out some old activity calendars [1][2][3][4] to see topics that we've disucssed in the past year. If you have an idea for a meeting topic, get in touch with Sam (Ss3ab) and let him know! -
Exec Meetings
The VAA's officers usually meet at 4pm on Sundays in the Student Activities Center (SAC) on the ground floor of Newcomb Hall. Exec meetings are open to all interested members, and we would especially like to invite anyone who might be interested in being a club officer in the future. -
VAA T-Shirts
We have club T-shirts available for purchase, so if you're interested, you can pick one up right away! The shirts say "Virginia Atheist Association" on the front pocket and have a big orange "A" (which resembles an upside-down UVa "V") with the word "Atheist" across the back. The original design (shown here) was vetoed because using a real UVa "V" would require permission from the school, which would have made the shirts cost more. As it is, the cost is $12, and you can order a shirt either in person at a meeting or by sending an email with your name, shirt size, and contact info to Charlotte at cms9p. -
