The ability to communicate effectively directly impacts the speed and effectiveness of a
search. If communication is poor, disaster can strike. For instance, the wrong area can be
searched, it can take too ling for teams to get out in the field, base can misinterpret
clues and other information given from the field.
Appriximately 1/2 of the equipment in our locker is related to communications.
Important: Be clear and concise, take time to THINK first!
Rules and Regulations
FCC (Federal Communications Commission)
They license individuals and groups to broadcast over frequencies. The FCC can listen
inand record broadcasts... so can your regular Joe... It is possible to loose our license
if we don’t adhere to the regulations, and that would have a mama of an impact on
searches.
