The Hoos lost a tough series this past weekend playing against a classless, bush league Maryland squad. Questionable umpiring along with shaky late inning pitching resulted in the Terps getting two walk off hits to win the first two games. However, in the third game it was the Hoos who put up 3 runs in the last inning to add to their lead and win 5-1. Congratulations to Matt Diton who won MAC North Pitcher of the week for getting the W with 5 strong innings pitched and only 1 earned run. Also congratulations to Patrick Yaroch for winning MAC North Player of the week for the second week in a row.
