3/24/09- Cavs Drop Two of Three to VT

In a hard fought and close series, Tech took two of three from the Hoos. Despite a strong performance in all three games, UVA suffered some bad breaks and only managed to win the second game on Saturday.

3/14/09-Cavs Swept by Maryland

Following their return from Spring Break, Maryland swept the Hoos in three close games. Despite playing without half of their starting lineup for the first game, the Hoos played hard, but once again could not come up with a win.

2/21/09- NC State sweeps Cavs in Opening Series

In their first games of the year, the Cavs opened with NC State. Since the games were non-conference games, everyone got into the lineup. Although the Cavs were close in every game, they couldn't manage to pull out victory.

1/22/09- Spring Schedule Online

The spring schedule has been posted online. In addition, we will start throwing this Saturday, Jan 24, at 2PM.

11/9/08 - Virginia Wins Two Out of Three

After dropping the first game, the Hoos overcame their initial rust and managed to win the final two games. The Cavaliers had a good team effort in the final two games, led by strong contributions from Alex Kozera and Patrick "Prime Time" Luckenbach. Kozera went 6-8 in the final two games, while Luckenbach had a solid pitching outing and played well in an emergency catching role.

10/22/08 - No Games For a While For Virginia

Virginia did not play this past weekend and will not play this weekend, due to GMU and Towson's inability to play.

10/5/08 - Virginia Sweep Miami of Ohio

A depleted Virginia team made the 8+ hour road trip to Ohio, where they won all three games. Strong hitting paced the 'Hoos, who know stand at 5-2 for the fall.

9/21/08 - Virginia Goes 2-2 on the Weekend

The 'Hoos started off their fall season with a 4-game weekend. After putting forth an all-around solid performance vs Elon in 2 victories, UVa could not turn a 7-run first inning lead into a victory in game 1 vs UNC. The bats remained cold as the team managed only one run in a close game 2 loss.

9/13/08 - Tryouts over, Schedule Posted

The Cavaliers club baseball team added seven new players this year who can all make a contribution on the field immediately. The schedule has been finalized, UVA will play a full fall schedule including three roadtrips.
