Flight Pick Up

BD]y)|"w2x7H-g)J:m;r0 We can imagine, actually still remember, the stress and anxiety you are experiencing now when preparing such a long trip. We PROMISE to pickup any incoming new students if you fly directly to Charlottesville (CHO). Of course, it's better you can also consider the arrival time so that it won't bother others too much. You can also book flight to Richmond (RIC) or Washington DC (IAD). We will try our best to pickup you, but we can't gurantee. The reason is that both airports are far away and take a lot of time and energy (not to mention other safety issues.) You will pay about $70 car rental and gas fee to the one who pickup you unless you two reach an agreement beforehand. In case we can't find one to pick you up, please be prepared to take the Greyhound (about $30). Temporary Lodging

Again, we will try our best to provide temporary lodging for incoming new students. With the help from the Chinese community, all students found a temporary place to live (not motels) in 2007. On the other hand, we suggest you pay a little as a courtesy to your host family, though we know most of them will not accept your offer. Besides, we urge you act early in apartment hunting. We also encourage you to find a living place before you come here. Refer to Housing Section for more information.
