Funding Request Form
Please fill out and submit the form below at least one
(1) week before the next Graduate Council Meeting. A graduate
student representative from the organization or group requesting
funding must attend the meeting in which funding will be
discussed. The GSC is prohibited by the University from funding the
following: honoraria or similar fees; religious activities; social
entertainment or related expenses; philanthropic contributions and
activities; political activities; or activities which would jeopardize
the University's tax exempt status. Further details can be found here.
IMPORTANT: We have occasionally experienced difficulties with our online funding request
system. When you receive a confirmation email with your funding request, please forward it to Elizabeth Head at
ech3b@virginia.edu. This will ensure that we receive it. Also,
please hit "tab" rather than "enter" to move from field to field when
filling out the form below. Hitting "enter" will automatically send
the request.
If approved, the Council may request updates in the interim. After the
event, you must provide a final written report including (but not
limited to): the final budget the exact use of all GSC funds, sources
of all funding, attendance, and the overall success of the event. This
report must be submitted to the Council within three months of the
event or by the first day of July following the event, whichever comes
first. Be sure to include the sponsorship of the Graduate Council
during the advertising of your event.
