General Club Information

Any UVA undergraduate or graduate student is welcome to come and practice with the gymnastics club, regardless of experience. The club has a broad range of skill levels, from beginners to advanced gymnasts.

The Gymnastics Club competes with other club gymnastics teams across the nation throughout the entire school year. The club also has social events and other activities besides practice and competition including dances, dinners, and more!

Everyone is welcome to come and be a part of this extremely fun and friendly team!

 

 

 

 

Fudraising

Fundraising is one of our main sources of money. In order to subsidize the funds allocated to us by student council fundraising is necessary form all members in order to rent the gym facility as well as participate in competitions.

Fundraising occurs in the fall during the football season by picking up trash in the neighborhood around Jefferson Park Avenue after every game and by doing stadium clean-ups immediately following the games.

All club members must complete at least 3 neighborhood clean-ups and 2 stadium clean-ups.

*financial compensation will be expected for unfulfilled fundraising requirements (as determined by the treasurer)

It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. Team Fees
$5/night of practice (up to 3 times)
$50 for one semester
$100 for one year

Practice Location
Due to the lack of appropriate facilities on grounds at UVA, the UVA gymnastics club practices at a private gym in Charlottesville.  Classics Gymnastics Center is located about 15 minutes from UVA and allows us to rent time and space in their gym 2-3 days per week.  Carpools are organized by the secretary and usually pick up at Bonnycastle Circle and the Tuttle parking lot.
