Cowan Fellows

Human Rights Study Project

2009-2010

The Cowan Fellows Human Rights Study Project (HRSP) is a student-run organization at the University of Virginia School of Law dedicated to promoting awareness of legal issues surrounding the development and protection of human rights in foreign countries.

Law student members will produce original academic research and provide the UVA Law community with presentations on contemporary developments in international human rights law.

Now entering its eighth year, this year’s Cowan Fellows have chosen to travel to Egypt. During the fall, each member of the group will develop an individual research project, while the team as a whole plans the logistics of a three-week trip to Egypt. During the trip, law students will conduct field research on the human rights law topic of their choice, working directly with organizations and individuals on the ground. The group will travel to Egypt in December and January of 2009-10.

If you have any questions, please contact HRSP president Daniel Perell (dep3u AT virginia DOT edu).
