Welcome to the Whethersite!
The Whethermen, established in 1997, is the oldest improv comedy troupe at the University of Virginia. We put on two shows each semester, consisting of shortform games and longform improv based on suggestions from the audience. In addition to these shows, the Whethermen perform at various gigs and events on Grounds, and we are annual participants at the Dirty South Improv Festival (now called the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival).
If you are interested in auditioning for the group, having us perform at an event, or if you just want to learn more about improv, feel free to contact any of our group members for more information. If you would like to be updated about our latest events, please join our mailing list.
