Sisterhood, Service, Scholarship, Support, and Student Leadership

The Inter-Sorority Council's mission is to support and promote the well-being of the 16 chapters of the ISC and their members in their interactions with each other, UVA, and local community.

Message from the President

Welcome to the Inter-Sorority Council (ISC). We are currently the largest group of women on Grounds with over 1800 members in 16 sororities. The ISC at the University of Virginia strives to uphold the values of integrity, loyalty, compassion, and humility, upon which the organizations were founded. Sorority involvement enhances the experience of all current and future sorority women by providing resources and opportunities for scholarship, leadership, service, and social development in an atmosphere conducive to friendship and sisterhood.

Please take a look at our website and feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

Sigma Delta Tau to Colonize in 2011

The Inter-Sorority Council is thrilled to welcome its 16th sorority, Sigma Delta Tau to Grounds in spring 2011. While the colonization process will begin directly following formal recruitment, we look forward to helping them launch their PR campaign in late October. Be on the look-out for ways that you and your chapter can help support them as they colonize and adjust to life on Grounds. To learn more about Sigma Delta Tau please visit their website at www.sigmadeltatau.com.
