Beta Chi

Dear Brothers and Friends,

Welcome to the Beta Chi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. Since our Refounding in 2005, our Chapter has been dedicated to the promotion and welfare of the Cavalier Band Program, especially to the Cavalier Marching Band.  We have completed projects such as cleaning instruments, setting up for game days, running behind-the-scenes work at band camp, organizing music, and much more. This past year we have reached out more to the Charlottesville community through the Musicians in Action program, through which Brothers help teach music lessons at Walker Middle School.  In coordination with the McIntire School of Music, we usher and advertise for a variety of musical performances.

Beyond service, Beta Chi is a very tight Brotherhood.  We keep our bonds strong with regular social events including cooking competitions, movie nights, and outdoor activities.  This spring we welcomed 14 wonderful new Brothers from the Tau class into our Chapter.  As a Chapter, the 2009-2010 school year is an opportunity for us to continue to grow in service and in Brotherhood. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of serving Beta Chi and the Cavalier Bands!

AEA,

Keirstin McCambridge
