Latter Day Saint Student Association

at the University of Virginia

Bring life into focus...

Welcome to the LDSSA page for Charlottesville, Virginia. We hope you are excited to participate with us as we strive to achieve balance between gaining secular knowledge and developing spiritually.

What exactly is LDSSA?
The Latter-day Saint Student Association is an organization run by UVA students as an adjunct to the Charlottesville Institute of Religion of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The goal is to make meaningful and fun service opportunities, social activities, and learning experiences available for UVA Students and younger adults in the Charlottesville area.

So what’s going on?
We are currently studying Luke in the New Testament! Every Monday from noon to one, the LDSSA meets in Newcomb Hall. This is usually in the Boardroom, but check the bulletin board of “Today’s Events” to make sure it hasn’t been moved. We also meet Wednesday nights from 7-9pm to study the Old Testament in the upstairs room of the Century 21 building on Ivy Road, near the corner of Ivy and Alderman.
