The Classical Liberal Roundtable (CLR) is an educational, non-partisan organization at the University of Virginia, which provides an open forum for discussion of contemporary issues. Topics range from subjects of importance on-Grounds to international issues. CLR does not seek to establish or promote particular points of view, and welcomes individual perspectives.
CLR is a member of the Liberty Coalition and is closely associated with its other constituent groups, including University Libertarians and Students for Individual Liberty, but its primary mission is the exchange of ideas. Members are students and faculty of all political affiliations.
Meetings are informal and are held from 2p.m.-3p.m. on Sunday afternoons each week in the North Oval Room of the Rotunda. They are “lightly” moderated with the objective of developing every participant’s viewpoint. Most meetings will be begin with an informational briefing, providing a starting point for discussion. CLR is a growing organization and seeks to bring new members into its dynamic discussions.
For more information about the CLR, please contact Alec Norman or the Liberty Coalition.
