Charlottesville, Va - Since 1969 Madison House has grown from a small volunteer initiative to one of the largest student-led volunteer centers in the country, with over 3,000 University of Virginia students serving the community on a weekly basis. To date Madison House volunteers have given over 3 million hours of community service to Charlottesville and Albemarle County.

This year, we celebrated the student leadership, service and community of the last 40 years with the Madison House 40th Anniversary Party.

Friends, family and volunteers spent two hours together on Friday, October 19 celebrating all that has been accomplished. Madison House appreciates all of those who showed up and all who have contributed to the last 40 years.
