295-TALK
HELP Line is an anonymous, confidential telephone service serving the residents of Charlottesville, Albemarle County and the University of Virginia. We are a student-run, student-operated program, staffed entirely of volunteers, affiliated with Madison House.
Mission
HELP Line strives to provide callers with an empathetic ear for any sort of issue they wish to discuss. While HELP Line volunteers complete a training program, we are not professionals, and so we focus on finding long-term services in the community for our callers, such as counseling services, medical services, drug treatment programs, and the like.
History
HELP Line has been serving the community for over 20 years. It used to be known as Open House Hotline.
