Holiday Sharing
Sponsors

What does it mean to be a donor?

A donor can donate pretty much anything but cash. This includes non-perishable foods, gifts, gift cards, new toys, or checks. Donating is a great option if you would like to help out but are not able to sponsor an entire family.

How do I actually go about donating?

We have 3 ways to donate:
- Email us at holidaysharing@madisonhouse.org, with your name, organization, address, telephone number, and what you would like to donate.
- Call us at (434) 977-7051 between 9AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday, and a volunteer will record your pledge.
- Stop by one of our holiday trees set up around the campus of UVA.

Wait, what is a holiday tree?

Holiday Sharing sets up 4 trees around campus, each manned by a volunteer for the program, containing "holiday" ornaments naming a type of gift to purchase and donate to the program. Holiday Trees are running from November 2nd until November 20th at O'Hill dining hall, Newcomb dining hall, Clemons Library, and the UVA Bookstore. Select a holiday ornament from the tree, and a volunteer will record your pledge for you. From there, all that's left is to go purchase the gift named on your ornament, and bring it to Madison House!

Okay, so I've signed up to donate, but what do I do with my donation?

Please bring your donations to Madison House between 9AM and 7PM on either November 30th, December 1st or 2nd. Madison House is located at 170 Rugby Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
