Expectations of UMS Members

1) All new members must attend Fall Educator Training led by the Director of Training. This year Fall Educator Training will be held on Saturday, November 8.

2) All new members are required to attend PLAN 325 (1.0 credit) Basic Mediation Skills, taught by Professor E. Frank Dukes of the Institute for Environmental Negotiation. This 2.5 day course will take place during the days between January Term and Spring Semester.

3) All members must attend bimonthly meetings, hold at least one weekly office hour, and help out with publicity and training projects (to be described in further detail at the Interest Meeting).

  • Fall 2008 Recruitment will last until October 3, 2008.
  • You may pick up applications outside of the UMS office (Newcomb 466) or download the UMS Application.
