Should I audition for the New Dominions?
Yes.
WHEN are auditions?
We usually hold them once every semester. Check back for our audition dates for next semester, Spring 2008. If you would like to Sing, come during the audition days, and sing for us! I like to sing too. We should be friends.
HOW do I sign up?
At any time, you can email us at newdos (at) virginia.edu, or contact any of our officers listed on our contact page. A sign up sheet will also be posted on the door of the audition room.
WHERE will they be held?
We usually hold auditions on the Lawn, and we can give more specific room instructions later.
WHAT will I have to do in the audition?
These auditions are very relaxed and should only take about 5-10 minutes. We will ask you to warmup with us, sing a few blending and pitch exercises, and sing us a prepared solo of your choosing. This solo should be one verse and one chorus of a popular song that showcases your voice.
I have tried out before. Should I try out again?
Yes. Many of our members were accepted on their second or even third audition.
