Welcome to Academic Competition at the University of Virginia! We are an organization dedicated to attending and hosting trivia tournaments. We practice weekly and host several tournaments throughout the year. In the spring of 2005, we finished as the 3rd place undergraduate team at ACF Nationals.

We are always on the lookout for new members. If you're interested, check us out! You can e-mail the President, William Butler at wab2m at virginia dot edu or talk to any of the other team members. Use that trivia knowledge for something!

• The 2008 NAQT All-Virginia Tournament will be held at UVa on Saturday, April 19th.
  
  
• We are sorry to announce that we will not be holding the Cavalier Open this year. We are aware that this goes against a post made on the Quizbowl message board last month, but we've had to deal with some unforeseen logistical issues. We're very sorry for the confusion.
  
  
• Practices will be held Wednesdays at 8 p.m. in Cabell 337 this semester. You can join our mailing list for more information.
  
  
• The 12th Annual Cavalier Classic will be held October 27, 2007. As always, this tournament wil be house-written for high school teams.
  
  
• The 11th Annual Cavalier Classic, our house-written high school tournament, was held on November 11th, 2006. Results have been posted!

• The Third Annual Cavalier Open was held on Saturday, February 18, 2006. Congratulations to winner Maggie Walker A and runner-up Detroit Catholic Central. Full results have been posted.
