The Cavalier Open
UVA's Spring High School Tournament

The Academic Competition Club at the University of Virginia will host the fourth annual Cavalier Open on March 17, 2007, in Charlottesville, VA.

This tournament will use NAQT question set IS-64.  Each team is guaranteed at least six rounds of play, but most teams will play additional games. The teams that perform best qualify for PACE National Championships (Ann Arbor, MI) as well as the NAQT National Championship Tournament (Chicago, IL).

A free breakfast will be provided starting at 8:30, and opening ceremonies will take place at 9:15, all in Wilson Hall 402 (adjacent to Cabell Hall, on Jefferson Park Avenue). Competition will start soon after, with the preliminary rounds ending mid-afternoon. We will email you the schedule and other details as the tournament date approaches.

The registration deadline is on Tuesday, March 13th.  Teams that register before March 3rd will receive a $20 discount for early registration.  If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail us at uva-quizbowl-tournament@virginia.edu.
