Shakespeare on the Lawn is dedicated to providing one of the Bard's great works to the public each semester, and we do so at no cost to our patrons. But while we do not charge for admission to our shows, our productions are certainly not cheap to put on. We rely on donations made by the patrons of our shows to cover the costs of putting on the great works of Shakespeare, from costumes and sets to lighting and equipment.
However, you don't have to wait for show night to make a donation! We appreciate patronage at any time, as our expenses are spread out across each semester as we work on each production.
If you would like to send a donation to help us fund our shows, please send checks made out to Shakespeare on the Lawn to our address at the Student Activities Center at the University of Virginia:

We also accept donations of needed items from period dress to that bag of old zip ties you have in your garage. We are willing to pick up certain needed items. Email our president to find out if we can accept and/or pick up your donation.
