DIRECTIONS:

We plan to host this tournament at Memorial Gym (210 Emmet Street). 

The gym opens at 7am.  The courts will be set up immediately and we will hold the captains meeting at 8:30 am.  Tournament play should start no later than 9:00 am.

There are several hotels in the area.  Unfortunately, no special rates could be worked out since I could not guarantee how many rooms were going to be needed.  As a team though, you can ask for a special rate for multiple rooms.

The closest hotel is diagonally across the street from Memorial Gym.  It is the Cavalier Inn Best Western. Located at 105 N Emmet. Phone number: 434-296-8111. For discounts, ask for Glenda (ext. 7905).

There is street parking available around Mem Gym in several locations. I have never been towed across the street from Mem Gym at Alumni Hall because who is going to tow alumni. There are also two parking decks, one directly next to Mem Gym and one just past the Best Western along Ivy Rd.

FORMAT:

The tournament will begin with round robin in three separate pools.  After this segment, the top two teams from each pool will go into the "Gold Bracket" and the bottom two teams from each pool will go into a "Silver Bracket."  This format is subject to change up to the time of the captain's meeting the morning of the tournament.
