The centerpiece of the Residential Community, The Cottage has long played an important role in the success of the Wesley Foundation at UVa. In fact, the Cottage served as the Wesley Foundation prior to the construction of the present building. (See the old photograph of the house hanging in the living room!) The Cottage is owned by, and is physically attached to, the Wesley Foundation.

    Students enjoy living in The Cottage for many reasons, including convenient location, large bedrooms & large living area. Some former residents have left their handprints (& footprints!) on the hallway walls as a reminder of their stay. Not everyone knows about it, but there is one permanent resident: a small white elephant.  Be sure to ask about him, he loves attention! He also enjoys listening to 8-track tapes. Stop by for a visit sometime!
