Philanthropy

Zeta Tau Alpha Philanthropy: To prepare for service and learn the nobility of serving, thereby earning the right to be served...

The national philanthropy of Zeta Tau Alpha is The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  Our chapter is very involved in promoting Breast Cancer awareness and prevention.  Each spring, we hold our Run for Life 5K, encouraging UVA and the rest of their community to participate. In 2006 alone, we raised more than $19,000 dollars alone to help fight for the cure for breast cancer!

To aid in the fight against breast cancer, our chapter holds a Breast Cancer Awareness Week each fall, during which they table on the historic Lawn, handing out pink ribbons and information pamphlets. Decorative cups are sold as well to benefit the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.

We, the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha, are dedicated to our philanthopy, and we hope to make a difference in our community and in the fight against Breast Cancer.
